How we price podcast production
Your podcast costs exactly what it needs
We don't sell packages. Every show has different recording conditions, episode lengths, guest counts, and publishing schedules. A fixed tier would either overcharge you or cut corners on your audio.
Instead, we quote each project based on five transparent cost factors. You see exactly where your money goes, and you only pay for the work that actually happens.

Ranges reflect episodes between 20 and 90 minutes. We send a fixed quote before starting any work.

Studio pipeline
Here is what happens after you send us your raw files. Each stage has a defined turnaround and a revision window.
Intake and assessment
We listen to your raw recording within 24 hours. You get a short report noting any audio issues, a recommended edit approach, and your fixed quote for the episode.
Cleanup and noise reduction
We remove background hum, mouth clicks, breaths, and room echo using spectral editing. Tracks are aligned and gain-matched so every speaker sounds consistent.
Content editing
Long pauses, false starts, and tangents get trimmed. If you flagged sections to cut or rearrange, we handle those. The episode tightens up without losing its natural feel.
Mix, master, and deliver
Intro music, transitions, and outro are mixed in. The final file is mastered to -16 LUFS for Spotify and -19 LUFS for Apple Podcasts. You receive WAV and MP3 exports plus chapter-marked files if requested.

Every delivered episode comes with these outputs. Nothing is optional or hidden behind an upgrade.
Master audio file
WAV (48 kHz / 24-bit) and MP3 (192 kbps) versions, both loudness-normalized to your target platform specs.
Chapter markers
ID3 chapter tags embedded in the MP3 so listeners can jump between segments on Apple Podcasts, Overcast, and Pocket Casts.
Full transcript
Speaker-labelled, timestamped, proofread text file. Useful for SEO blog posts, accessibility, and repurposing content.
Show notes draft
A 150-word summary, guest bio, and timestamped topic list formatted for your hosting platform's description field.
Audiogram clip
One 60-second highlight clip with animated waveform, sized for Instagram Reels and LinkedIn. Delivered as MP4.
Revision window
Two rounds of revisions included. Most clients use zero. The average revision request rate across all our shows is 0.3 per episode.
Why we don't use packages
A 25-minute solo episode recorded on a Shure SM7B in a treated room needs about 45 minutes of post-production. A 90-minute roundtable recorded over Zoom with four guests on laptop mics might take five hours. Charging the same price for both would be dishonest in one direction or the other.
Our per-episode quoting means you never subsidize someone else's complex project, and you never get a stripped-down edit because your show happens to be simple.
Every quote is binding once you approve it. No surprise invoices.

Recording advice we give every new client
Better raw audio means lower editing costs. These four tips consistently reduce our cleanup time.
Use a USB mic
Even a $70 USB condenser mic sounds dramatically better than a laptop's built-in microphone.
Record in a small room
Closets and carpeted offices absorb reflections. Avoid kitchens and rooms with hard floors.
Leave pauses
A two-second pause before and after mistakes makes editing faster and cheaper.
Record separate tracks
Ask each guest to record locally. Merged Zoom audio is usable but limits what we can fix.
